Bio.

Born in Lima, Peru, Nicolás started playing the guitar at the age of five. Since then, music has been his greatest passion.

Nicolás’ compositional approach is defined by his multiple musical influences. Contemporary concert music, jazz, Latin American rhythms and more combine in a versatile style that can adapt to almost any audiovisual project. His work includes music for film, video games, advertising and other media.

Nicolás studied music composition at the Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas in Lima, where he obtained the first place amongst all the graduating students. During this time at university, he discovered a very strong interest in composition for screen. For this reason, Nicolás decided to take his career a step further and was accepted in the International Master in Composition for Screen programme (InMICS), where he studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et Danse de Lyon (CNSMD) in France and at the Université de Montréal (UdeM) in Canada.

Besides composing, Nicolás has performed as a solo guitarist and played guitar in a rock band. He has also worked as a music teacher.
